For years Men's Shed members gathered at the old Scout Hall but the new premises, next to the USMC, has a larger workshop, bigger facilities and a morning tea room.

Narromine Men's Shed secretary John Mutton has been a member for five years and was pleased the men now have more room.

"We have more tools set up for furniture repairs and a bigger workshop out the back," he said.

There are 72 financial members of the Narromine Men's Shed and Mr Mutton said it was a place of 'mateship'.

President Roger Blackman dedicated the sign out the front to one of the founding members, Eric Wheatley, who passed away last year.

"There were four of us who travelled to the Parkes Men's Shed in 2009 and Eric really helped get our Men's Shed going," he said.

Mr Blackman said it could sometimes be hard for men to talk about their health but the Men's Shed encourages mates to open up.

"Men never talk about their health but the Men's Shed allow sfor us to do that," he said.

USMC manager Bob Walsh said it was great to see the Men's Shed in its new venue.

"This will give them more room.

"I hope they have a long and prosperous stay."
