The school travelled to Jubilee Oval in Dubbo to be one of 21 teams competing on Thursday March 19.
Narromine Public School's Acting Principal, Mr Kevin Geyer, had assembled a diverse group of lads, most of whom had quite some experience in one or more of the football codes.
Narromine Junior Gorillas' Tom Masonwells proved an able captain.
The boys did not disappoint; they won their first game against Orana Heights five tries to nil, with stand-outs being Masonwells, Charlie Dennis, Hunter Gillespie and Tylah Beer.
They defeated St Mary's A team five to one, with both the Dennis boys (Charlie and Will), and also Jeremy Rush, Malachi Clark and Masonwells, grabbing meat pies.
The very strong St Laurence A team eventually brought them back to earth four tries to one.
However, Gus Davies played very strongly; while Eliah Bligh and Fergus Tuck supported very well.
It was indeed a fabulous day of rugby; a credit to Australian Rugby Union Western Region maestro, Mark DeBrincat and the boys with the many supporting parents obviously loving it.
