The grant was awarded in 2014 from the NSW Government to support short-term, locally-initiated projects.
The Central School received the funding to create a school mural with the title 'Belonging'.
"Students brainstormed ideas about the community of Trangie and how they fit into their community along with factors which influenced their personal identity," TCS' Mel Gleeson said.
"The response was over whelming with all ideas put into categories - sport, school and education, industries and the environment."
These ideas were given to acclaimed local artist Jack Randell who collaborated these ideas onto the mural.
"Mr Randell came to the school and co-ordinated the painting of the mural with all the primary school students," Mrs Gleeson said.
"It was an amazing process with all students involved in the development and completion of the project."
The mural was presented at the end of term one at the Harmony Assembly.
"We were fortunate enough to have Mr Randell and mayor Bill McAnally unveil the mural to our students, staff and school community," Mrs Gleeson said.
Trangie Central School staff and students would like to thank CASP for the grant allocation, Mr Randell for all of his time, effort and professionalism and Mark Gleeson, Mikaira Skinner and Chris Terry for taking the time to erect the mural.
