Jack and his sister Darby.
The 10-year-old threw 26.83 metres, shocking himself at the carnival.
This throw beat the previous record of 25.82 held by Max Barber for more than five years.
Jack's dad said this was the only record broken on the day.
"His first throw he just went bang," Mr Richardson said.
Jack has now qualified for the diocesan carnival next Friday in Parkes.
Good luck Jack.
