“The information we have available to us is the same as what has been released by the SES in the Flood Bulletins to Council and the media.”
The State Emergency Services [SES] announced yesterday the flood level (5.5 metres) for Narromine will be exceeded on Thursday afternoon at 4pm with minor rural flooding and possibly some minor road closures.
”It is expected to reach 10.0 metres on Friday, with moderate flooding. The Flood Bulletins released by the SES are the best source of information that we can all use,” Ms Murphy said.
“Council will be closely monitoring local roads in the vicinity of the Macquarie River to ensure that road closures are current.”
