All activities are $2.00 per child and are suitable for children aged 5 to 12 years. Book your place now.
Narromine Library:
- Activate Lego - Wednesday 5 July from 2.30 to 4.00pm. Activate your imagination to build a Lego maze and other construction challenges
- Activate Motion – Wednesday 12 July from 2.30 to 4.00pm. Activate your creativity as you construct paper planes and activate fun as you compete in various challenges of motion!
Trangie Library:
- Chain Reaction – Wednesday 5 July from 2.30 – 4.00pm. Activate your mind and activate objects to create funny chain reaction machines.
- Activate Lego - Wednesday 12 July from 2.30 to 4.00pm. Activate your imagination to build a Lego maze and other construction challenges.
Winter Reading Program – Read to Win!
Time is running out with only a few weeks left to participate in the Winter Reading Program. Return your completed log to the library by Monday, July 31 to be in the draw to win an android tablet or tickets to the Dubbo Regional Theatre. Read to win this winter and escape the cold! 2017 Rolf Boldrewood Literary Awards - Australian Prose and Poetry Writing Competition
Now in their 11th year, these awards honour Rolf Boldrewood, the pen name of Thomas Browne, who, during his time as a police magistrate in Dubbo, wrote Robbery Under Arms, one of the first major novels.
The competition aims to foster the writing of prose and poetry with an Australian theme.
First prize will be $500 and a limited edition bust of Rolf Boldrewood (value at $100), second prize will be $250 and third prize is $50. Highly Commended certificates will be awarded at the judge’s discretion. Entries close on September 29.

The Narromine branch is open from 10.30am until 5.30pm Monday to Friday, and on Saturdays from 10am until 12 noon.
The Trangie branch is open Mondays from 1pm until 5pm; Wednesday-Friday between 10.30am and 5.30pm; Saturday 10am until 12 noon.
