Miss Everingham won Saturday’s by-election against former councillor Ruth Carney.
The votes were last updated just before 9am on Tuesday morning with Miss Everingham taking out 1886 votes against her opponent who won 1451 votes.
The competition was close with merely percentage points between each candidate as The Narromine News and Trangie Advocate checked the vote tally.
The final tally was Miss Everingham won 56.52 per cent of the first preference formal vote tally.
Mrs Carney won 43.48 per cent of the first preference formal vote tally.
Miss Everingham won 953 votes at Narromine Public, 47 votes at Tomingley Hall and 331 votes at Trangie Central.
She also won 23 votes at enrolment, 483 at the returning office in Narromine and 49 postal votes.
Mrs Carney won 714 votes at Narromine Public, 69 at Tomingley Hall and 216 at Trangie Central.
She won seven enrolment votes, 397 votes at the returning office in Narromine and 48 postal votes.
The by-election only took one count to be determined.
Miss Everingham will now be officially announced as winner of the by-election which is scheduled to take place on Wednesday.
The incoming councillor will then take her oath and join the others in the council chambers.
Saturday’s by-election took place due to the tragic and untimely death of Cr Peter Drew in June.
Miss Everingham will take the ninth spot on council which Cr Drew left behind.
