Andy Holden remains in the position of president, Suzanne Berkeley as secretary, Andrew Cayzer will continue in the role of treasurer while Doug Ferrari and George Gibson accepted another term as vice presidents and Pat Riley will continue as publicity officer.
With the end of 2017 in sight, plans for the annual Christmas party, to be held on December 9 are now underway. Past years have seen this event appeal to both young and old and this year will be no different with attractions to please all members of the family. The ever-popular Shop-n- Win will again be a feature along with a number of other attractions.
TAG’s has a reputation for ‘getting the job done’ since the 1990’s when a group of concerned citizens noted a distinct lack of accessible and appropriate facilities to appeal to the youth of the town.
TAG was born and fund-raising began in earnest. The end result was the Multi-Purpose Sports Complex that stands in the grounds of Trangie Central School, a very tangible example of what can be achieved when a community pulls together.
Other projects include The Big Bill, Cultural Centre and the Oval funding.
Like all volunteer organisations, TAG is always ready to welcome new recruits. Membership is just $2 and meetings at the Bowling Club at 7pm on the first Wednesday of every month.
