The talented Orange runner was the first female across the line in Sunday’s Mount Panorama Punish, the first edition of the event held on the famous race circuit.
While the 174 metre elevation change across the 6.213 kilometre circuit is not the most testing leg burner Reeves has faced, the Mount Panorama Punish was still a challenge.
So that Reeves clocked a time of 26 minutes, 28 seconds to also place 16th outright was impressive.
On top of that, Reeves claimed queen of the mountain honours as well as she took 14.11 to get from the bottom of the Mount to the check point at McPhillamy Park.
The second female to finish was Bathurst’s Amy Glenn (28.09) while Orange’s Nicole Williamson took out third (28.24) on what was a good day for her family, with brother Mitch the outright champion.
Fellow runner Wes Gibson, who was third overall, was impressed by their efforts.
“Meg was great and Nicole is running really well too, she’s another local runner who is on the podium at most events,” she said.
“Amy Glenn, she won a marathon a couple of months ago and she juggles hockey and running as well, which is hard. That’s one of the reasons I gave up team sport, to concentrate on running, it’s really hard to do both.
“Her time today was exceptionally quick.”
That trio were three of six female competitors to place inside the top 50 outright with Angie Carpini (28.48), Krista Sutton (28.57) and Shannon Short (28.59) also doing so. Emily Tallentire was the junior queen of the mountain.
