The appointment was announced on the school’s Facebook page on Friday, as a message from relieving director of Public Schools NSW Charles Dwyer.
“I would like to congratulate Mr Philip Rufus on his success in gaining the position of Principal, Narromine HS, through a rigorous merit selection process, the post read.
“Mr Rufus brings an intimate knowledge of the Narromine community and a leadership skill set that is both collaborative and consultative in nature.
“Mr Rufus’ appointment ensures a continuity of leadership for Narromine HS and will allow for strategic planning for the future which is evidence-informed and focused on student achievement, growth and wellbeing.
“I wish Mr Rufus all the best in this substantive role and encourage the school and wider community to engage in positive partnerships with the leadership team on the journey of continual school improvement.”
