Between 2pm and 2.20pm, the depicted truck collided with a parked car on Erskine Street, near the intersection of Brisbane Street.
In a post to social media, police said the driver failed to stop and continued along Erskine Street.
It’s believed the truck then travelled towards Narromine.
“The truck is fairly distinctive in that it is a Kenworth twin steer, meaning that two sets of wheels under the front of the prime mover are used to steer the truck,” police said.
“This is fairly unique and therefore someone may know this truck or someone that has one.
“There is no doubt that, due to the amount of damage that was caused in the collision, that the driver of the truck was aware that he hit something.”
