Sam Basha (Planning) and Brenton Ney (IT) were the two successful candidates to secure positions in council’s trainee program, which provides training and employment opportunities for young people.
Other new faces include sport and recreation development officer Amy Townsend and economic development and communications officer Kelly McCutcheon.
General manager Jane Redden extended a warm welcome to the new team members.
“The new recruits come from a wide range of backgrounds and expertise,” Ms Redden said.
“I have already seen a change within council and the community since the new staff have commenced.”
The latest recruitment has filled positions vital to the work being undertaken as part of Council’s Delivery Program with town planning, youth services and economic development all prominent over the four year delivery plan cycle.
