Trangie and Narromine is hosting and supporting a variety of events for Youth Week (Friday, April 13 to Sunday, April 22), targeted at young people aged 12-25 and embracing the theme ‘Unity through Diversity’.
A stand out highlight of the week is the Youth Day Out held on Friday, April 20. It will be an eventful and jam packed day with a range of free activities available from an animal friendship farm and jumping castle for those ages 11 and under.
For those aged 12 and above there are a number of free activities including a bucking bull, gladiator joust, LED photoboth, a rock climbing wall, archery target games, giveaways and much more.
Narromine Coordinator for Communities for Children Ann-Louise Stonestreet said it is a great opportunity to “bring the community together and to embrace our youth who are the next generation of community.”
She said it is set to be a week of fun, information, activities and much more and encourages families to come along.
Youth Week began as a NSW government initiative in 1989, and has since grown to be a celebration of young people in every state and territory across the country.
It is organised by young people, for young people, in communities across NSW and Australia.
