Over 260 people attended the day including children from Trangie Central School, St John’s Catholic school and Tots on Temoin.
Everyone participated in the Easter hat parade, displaying their hand made and decorated creations in a variety of sizes and colours. Winners were selected from each class group and awarded with prizes donated by various organisations.
The Trangie Local Aboriginal Land Council together with Communities for Children and the Trangie Interagency Group extend their thanks to community members that attended.
CEO of the Trangie Local Aboriginal Land Council Terrie Milgate said, “this is a special event to provide service providers the opportunity to meet the Trangie community, which we believe to be both unique and incredible”.
Ms Milgate said over 40 service providers generously attended with giveaways and viral information for the community. A free barbecue was also provided by Carers NSW and Breakthru.
“Without the service providers community spirit, these days would not be possible and we extend a huge thank you to all the providers who attended our Family Information and Fun Day,” said Ms Milgate.
“With good participation from community we feel the day was a huge success and look forward to holding the event again in 2020.”
