This year there are a number of activities being held within Narromine and Trangie for community members to pay respect to those who have served and are still serving in the armed forces.

Both Narromine and Trangie will commemorate ANZAC Day on Wednesday 25 April 2018 with a range of activities from Dawn services through to a mid-morning march and service.
Narromine Shire Council are encouraging the community to attend the ANZAC Day activities within their towns to pay respect to those who have fallen and those still serving.
“I urge the community to take the time to reflect on those who have sacrificed their lives by attending the Dawn Service and watching the march,” said Narromine Shire mayor Craig Davies.
“The ANZAC Day activities are a great opportunity for our communities to educate the next generation on the sacrifices made,” he said.
Narromine ANZAC Day activities:
- 5.30am – Commemorative Dawn Service
- 9.30am – Narromine Commonwealth War graves Cemetery Service
- 10.50am – Veteran March (Narromine USMC to Cenotaph)
- 11am – Commemorative Service
Trangie ANZAC Day activities:
- 6.15am – Commemorative Dawn Service
- 10.30am – Veteran March (from Trangie Stores to the Memorial Hall)
- 11am – Commemorative Service
All members of the community are invited to attend the ANZAC Day activities.
Road closures will be in place to ensure safety during the marching ceremony.
