Nyngan Library

 We have had a fantastic roll up for our National Simultaneous Storytime with the Nyngan Pre School, Nyngan Public school Kindergarten class, children from the Early learning Centre along with some children and their parents from the community. 

With over 79 children we were a bit packed but we have received great feedback. Briana and I got into the spirit of things by dressing up to read the Story and used puppets and visual aids to make it a bit more fun for the Children

The Bogan Shire Councillors came up on Thursday morning for the Biggest Morning Tea we raised some money for a great cause and were treated to some yummy food by the ELC .

We also had the pleasure of Bay Lovett’s Award ceremony for her dual Senior Citizen Award during our morning Tea.

There has been a number of new memberships which is great to see remember we are open Tuesday to Friday 10am til 5:30pm and 10am to 1pm Saturdays.

There is something for everyone at the Library.

We have new stock arriving every week so be sure to pop in and have  a browse you never know what you may find.

We also have second hand books for sale so come and bag a bargain.

A number of children have signed up to the BOOKLINK reading program and have been busily borrowing and reading books this wraps up in July so you still have time to sign up if you want.

The requirement is to read or be read 20 books by the Closing date open to ages up to 14 years.

If you can’t get into to the Library we also have BORROWBOX APP which you can upload on your device and read away.

Story time is proving to be very popular thank you to the mums and their little ones for coming along also to the Early Learning Centre for organising to come on an adventure and introduce the children to borrowing.

Just as a reminder Story times for June are Wednesdays at 10:30am.

Have some July School holiday fun organised with some craft mornings Tuesday and Thursday of each week .

We will have something for all ages so come along and join in the fun.
