This event was created to raise and distribute money to Trangie-based organisations, groups and charities and has delivered beyond expectations.
The committee is asking for Expressions of Interest from any organisation, group or project that would benefit from a share of the profits from this year’s event.
A brief outline of what the donation would be used for and how it would benefit our great community can be emailed to trangiecharityball@gmail.com or mailed to Trangie Ball Incorporated, 169 Pangee Street, Nyngan, NSW 2825.
The Trangie Ball committee have previously raised $28,000 in total for local charities, groups and organisations including Trangie Community Connection, Trangie Action Group, Trangie Hospital Auxiliary, the Country Women’s Association and Trangie Diversional Therapy.
This black-tie, limited ticket event has the two-fold benefit of providing a platform that brings together young people for a fantastic night out as well as resulting in wonderful community benefits for Trangie.
Trangie Charity Ball committee president Alli Jenkins said hosting the event is great way for the committee to give back to the town they all grew up in.
“We wanted to bring money back to the Trangie community,” Ms Jenkins said.
“Trangie is where we all grew up and it’s … a really beautiful little town.
“We just want to keep it going. We want to keep Trangie fantastic and … there are so many important organisations in town and if we don't support them then Trangie is going to sadly go the wrong way,” she said.
“If anyone knows of an organisation, group or project in Trangie who would benefit from a share of funds raised from our ball, please get in contact with us.”
Ticket sales will commence on August 1 and will be available via the ticket link on their Facebook event ‘Trangie Ball 2018’.
