Mr Turnbull spent the weekend in Narromine to make another drought assistance announcement at Ashlea and Philip Miles’ ‘Strathmore’ property in Trangie.
About twenty-eight per cent of land within the Central West considered to be in intense drought, while and the remaining 62.7 per cent is in drought and 8.6 per cent is drought-affected.
Mr Turnbull announced families on the existing Farm Household Allowance (FHA) scheme will be provided with two lump sum supplementary payments on September 1 and March 1, 2019.
Couples in a household will receive up to an additional $12,000 while single households will receive up to $7,200.
The Government is also raising the FHA threshold cap from $2.6 million to $5 million to make it easier for farmers to access the FHA payment.

Mr and Mrs Miles hosted the Prime Minster for the second time since June and said they welcomed the drought-relief package.
During his visit Mr Turnbull went to some of the towns finest businesses including the Narromine USMC and Brenno’s Hotbake.
