However, all of the above pale in comparison to the Narromine Gorillas Presentation night which was held last weekend.
Roughly 100 guests were in attendance with the men looking dapper in their cocktail attire and the women equally stunning.
There was plenty to celebrate after a season in which the Gorillas seized every piece of silverware on offer and achieved what was arguably the most successful year since the clubs inception in 1982.
The trophy cabinet is now bursting at the seams with the inclusion of the New Holland Cups from both 1st and 2nd grade, the Red Cross Shield, Shifting the Stigma Cup, New Holland Cup Club Championship, Referees Award, and New Holland Cup player of the year (George Hancock)!
You can now add the U/17’s Premiers and Minor Premiers Cups to the stash of bling the Gorillas have accumulated.
The nights guest of honour was Waratahs star and local boy Pat McCutcheon, who enthralled the crowd with some anecdotes from his time with the ‘Tahs and on the Australian rugby 7’s tour.
Pat will be returning home with his wife and kids next month to take up a spot on the family farm, and hinted at return to Cale Oval, watch this space.
Special mentions must go to club president and first grade coach Craig Campbell for his tireless work throughout the year, both on and off the field. Also to Tim Gainsford and his team of helpers for organising presentation night.
Another huge thank you goes out to all the clubs valued sponsors and supporters who are behind the Gorillas whole-heartedly.
The Gorillas now look to 2019 as a chance to cement themselves as a powerhouse in the New Holland Cup, with the competition structure locked in for another season.
