On a recent day the movie studio Warner Bros took over a trendy West Hollywood hotel to showcase the stars of the latest Harry Potter prequel, Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald.
Jude Law, the English actor given the crucial role of playing a young wizard Albus Dumbledore, was somewhere on the property.
Oscar winner Eddie Redmayne, Katherine Waterstson, Dan Fogler, and Alison Sudol, who starred in 2016's first Fantastic Beasts film, were also tucked away in various suites.
The film, written and produced by JK Rowling, is set in 1927, so years ahead of the Harry Potter films.
What should leave Harry Potter fans in a tizz is in this latest Fantastic Beasts movie fans of the franchise see multiple characters and other Easter eggs linked to the original series.
My first encounter on this day of interviews was with two of the film's other leads, Ezra Miller and Claudia Kim.
After walking up a dark staircase, I was told to take a left and enter a suite.
There they sat.
I've interviewed Miller a couple of times before and he is an interesting fella and immediately confirms he is not the usual Hollywood leading man.
He has brought a gong, strikes it, and in harmony with Kim, sitting alongside him, they sing: "Peter from Australiaaaaaaaaa".
It's a lovely welcome.
Miller plays Credence Barebone, the disturbed, abused, adopted child who was last seen in the first Fantastic Beasts film letting loose a black parasitic creature named the Obscurus.
Thankfully the Obscurus isn't around.
Kim plays Nagini who has the ability to turn into a giant python.
"You're not going to turn into a big python?" I ask her.
"I might," she replies.
"Australians don't like snakes," I, kind of exaggerating, tell them.
"I thought you guys loved snakes," Miller chirps in.
"No, we hate them," I, of course spreading fake news, tell him.
What we do agree on is Harry Potter fans will be out of their minds watching this new chapter, which returns to Harry's old school Hogwarts.
The interview goes off the rails and it ends with Miller telling me: "Get out of here Peter".
Didn't even get a gong send off.
Next up is a suite near an outdoor patio where Law, Zoe Kravitz, who plays Leta Lestrange, and her love interest in the film, English actor Callum Turner, cast as Theseus Scamander, are waiting for me.
"Living here or living in Australia?" Law immediately asks.
I tell him I live in LA and for some unknown reason I complain it never rains in LA.
I add it rains every day in Australia - more fake news.
They are shocked.
"We're told it's just sun, sun, sun," Law says.
Nope. Rains every day.
I do get on to the very serious topic of Dumbledore's beard because in this film Law sports a relatively small one compared to the long grey fuzz Richard Harris and Michael Gambon had in the Harry Potter films.
With three more Fantastic Beasts films planned the obvious question is what's the plan with Dumbledore's beard?
"I'm going to let it grow, mate," Law says.
This is a serious question.
I ask if he has talked about the beard to Rowling and could it grow, say, one inch per film or will it suddenly be down to his belly button in the next movie?
"I'll get on it," Law promises.
Next up for a grilling are Redmayne and Waterston.
Redmayne returns as Newt Scamander, the nerdy, socially uncomfortable wizard and magizoologist while Waterston is his kind of love interest and witch, Tina Goldstein.
When I walk into their room, and before I can sit down, the conversation, which has become a trend on this day, begins with Australia as the topic.
We are talking about the niffler.
It's the creature that stole scenes - and gold, jewels and anything else sparkly - in the original film and returns in The Crimes of Grindelwald.
"You think nifflers are Australian?" Waterston asks.
I have no doubt.
I tell them it is pretty obvious to any Australian the niffler is a platypus/echidna hybrid.
Waterston and Redmayne are not so sure.
"I think it might be one of the homes of the Niffler," Redmayne says.
No, I argue.
It is a true blue Aussie.
"You are showing me up for my lack of in depth knowledge about each of my creatures," Redmayne concedes.
Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald opened in Australia on Wednesday.
