Narromine Shire Council General Manager Jane Redden said the project is one of many delivered in 2018 to benefit the councils communities and ensures facilities are maintained for future use.
“The project meets our objectives in the Community Strategic Plan to ensure connection between sporting user groups and provide active and passive recreation facilities,” Ms Redden said.
“We continue to be grateful for the support of other levels of Government, in this case the NSW Government, which allows us to improve our facilities and assist our local clubs,” said Mrs Redden.
Ms Redden said the next major event at the Trangie racecourse will be the Macquarie Picnic Races on Saturday, December 29.
“The races are the biggest event on Trangie’s calendar and always draw a large number of visitors to our region,” Ms Redden said.
“We encourage our residents to support the event, take part in a great day out at the races and enjoy the upgraded facilities at the showground,” she said.
