Join Australia Day ambassador Viviene Kartsounis as Narromine gears up to celebrate Australia Day.
On January 26 Narromine will come together as a community to celebrate the national day.
It promises to be the biggest celebration so far, with Australia Day ambassador Viviene Kartsounis set to join our festivities.

Known for her work with her charity Shoes for Planet Earth, which collects and sends sports shoes to those in need throughout Australia and the world, Ms Kartsounis is proud to be an Australia Day ambassador and to visit Narromine and join in with our community celebrations.
Narromine Shire Council Mayor Craig Davies is excited that Ms Kartsounis has taken the time to join Narromine on such an important day.
“Australia Day is such a special community day and an opportunity to showcase what’s great about Narromine,” Cr Davies said.
“We all have different stories to share about this country and Australia Day is an opportunity to remember how fortunate we are to live, together, here in Australia.”
“I know that Narromine will put on a memorable day and having Viviene here just makes it all the more special,” he said.
Cr Davies is encouraging all members of the community to participate in the variety of activities that will be on offer.
“Let’s show the rest of Australia how great our community is and how important being Australian is to Narromine,” Cr Davies said.
Australia Day Ambassadors generously volunteer their time and share their Australian story at hundreds of community events on Australia Day.
The Narromine Shire will celebrate Australia Day at 8am in Dundas Park. The morning will commence with a free breakfast with the official welcome and award presentation beginning at 9am.
There will be a jumping castle and friendship farm for the kids to enjoy, and the vintage van with plenty of summer drinks for everyone.
Following the Australia Day program from 11am there will be free entry into the Narromine Pool.
