Council pools in Narromine and Trangie have been a flurry of children, with Family Fun days running during the summer holidays.

The first of the four family fun days have taken place with 90 people attending the Trangie pool and a staggering 432 people walked through the Narromine gates.
The next two family fun days will be taking place on Tuesday, January 22 at Narromine pool from 2pm until 6pm, and on Tuesday, January 29 at the Trangie pool from 2pm until 6pm.

Council has subsidised entry fees to provide free entry to the Public pools on these days, and children will also be able to enjoy an inflatable obstacle course at both pools.
For Tomingley families, buses will be running from Tomingley to Narromine on January 22, departing Tomingley Hall at 1.30pm and leaving Narromine Pool at 6pm.
Narromine Shire Council’s General Manager Jane Redden said the program has been delivered in partnership with the Drought Communities Program funding, communities for children.
“The Drought Communities Program (DCP) is funded by the Australian Government and aims to deliver benefits to drought affected areas,” Ms Redden said.
“We would like to thank the Australian Government for their support through the DCP which has enabled us to run these Family Fun Days and thanks also to Communities for Children and Aquawest Narromine for their valuable assistance and for helping the locals stay cool.”
“This project fits in with our Community Strategic Plan objective of ensuring that the Narromine and Trangie swimming pools are accessible, affordable and provide a range of modern facilities for all ages and those with limited mobility,” she said.
