The Cancer Council’s Saving Lives campaign has focused on three issues: protecting the community from second-hand smoke, childhood obesity and supporting people with lymphoedema.
All five candidates for the seat of Dubbo will be in attendance at the forum to outline the role they will play, if elected, in bringing about changes.

Cancer Council advocate Susie Hill said she was encouraging community members to attend the forum at the Macquarie Regional Library to hear the stories about cancer issues and the candidates’ commitments.
Cancer Council’s Western NSW community programs coordinator Camilla Thompson said Saving Lives addressed the problems that increased the risk of cancer and affected people who had experienced cancer.
“The next State Government has the power to deliver solutions to these problems that will make a huge difference to people across the Dubbo electorate and wider NSW. Change starts with our local candidates at the Dubbo Saving Life 2019 election forum,” she said.
There are limited places at the forum, which will be held at the Dubbo branch of the library on Tuesday, February 19. RSVP by calling 6392 0800.
