Orana Mid-Western Police have arrested a 30-year-old Narromine male for assaulting a female police officer.

About 8.45am Tuesday morning police arrested the male at Backwater Road for breaching judicial offences and assaulting an officer.
Police said the male was in the process of being arrested for breach of bail on Monday afternoon when he assaulted the female police officer, taking off.
Orana Mid-Westen Police District Inspector Dan Skelly said numerous police resources were deployed to the Narromine area on Monday night in search of the offender.
Inspector Skelly said with the help of the public the male was located on Backwater road early Tuesday morning and taken into custody.
The male has been refused bail and currently remains at Dubbo Police station.
He is expected to face Dubbo Local Court at a later date.
"I won't stand for my police being assaulted or fronted by anyone they go to arrest," Inspector Skelly said.
"Police are doing their job, their not entitled to be assaulted.
"Anyone that does seek to assault police can expect swift action to be taken."
