Codey Dean Anning, of Dandaloo Road, was arrested by police on January 9.
Police allege Mr Anning had non consensual sexual intercourse with a woman.
In addition to the aggravated sexual assault charge, Mr Anning has also been charged with two counts of inciting the alleged victim to sexually touch him around the same time the rape is alleged to have taken place.
In one instance it is alleged he rubbed his penis on the victim's face without her consent and in another instance police accuse Mr Anning of forcing the victim to masturbate his penis with her hand.
Police have also charged Mr Anning with one count of common assault, one count of assault occasioning actual bodily harm, two counts of contravening an apprehended violence order and one count of intimidating the victim with the intention of causing fear of harm.
Mr Anning has not entered pleas to any of the charges.
He appeared in Dubbo Local Court on Monday via an audiovisual link.
His matter has been adjourned until June 11.
Court documents indicate that when Mr Anning was charged he did not apply for bail.
In NSW any person who knowingly has non consensual sexual intercourse with another person in circumstances of aggravation is liable to 20 years in prison.
