The Welcome Evening has been a huge hit in the past and returns on Thursday, May 16 at Soul Food Design Depot and Gallery from 6pm until 7pm.
The night is held annually and will give new residents the opportunity to meet the Mayor, community groups, sporting clubs, businesses and get in touch with what is on offer in the Narromine Region.
Narromine Shire Council Mayor Craig Davies is welcoming all new residents who have relocated to Narromine, Trangie and Tomingley in the last 12 months to come and enjoy a great night out.
"Moving to a new place can be an overwhelming experience, so it's a perfect opportunity for new comers to meet others in the same situation," Cr Davies said.
"It's really important that new residents feel welcome in our region and the community at large and that they understand the great opportunities available here."
Community organisations such as volunteer groups, service clubs, and sporting clubs have been invited to attend the event, to display what is in on offer in Narromine Region and to encourage participation from new residents to areas that may suit their interests and needs.
New residents are required to register to attend the event, for catering purposes and are requested to RSVP to the council by Monday, May 13.
To register for the event, contact Council on 6889 9999 or email mail@narromine.nsw.gov.au .
