Transport NSW and NSW Rugby League have partnered to launch the Knock On Effect campaign aiming to bring positive messages to the community through rugby league and road safety.

The campaign is part of the State Government's efforts to reduce fatalities and casualties on country roads Towards Zero.

CRL western region manager, Peter Clarke said that the origin players will be there to help out the coaches deliver a skills and drills clinic and present the Knock on Effect seminar and road safety message.

"It's aimed at bringing the road toll down to zero and get people to understand the importance of road safety," he said.

"[The players will be there] with some information about consequences and how it effects one's life and their family, if there is the is a tragedy in the family that comes about as a result of an accident."

The 2019 campaign demonstrates how profound the impact a single decision on the road can have a 'knock-on effect" on an entire community.

There will be two sessions on Thursday, June 13 a juniors clinic at Noel Powell Oval for young ones to have some fun and mingle with the rugby league stars, and a seniors clinic at Cale Oval which will focus on the main message of road safety.

Mr Clarke said while the clinic is aimed at 15-year-old people who are about to receive their learners licence, it's open to all members of the community.

"We want to share the message and try to encourage care and safety around the roads as much as we can," he said.
