The Lions Club of Narromine held their 66th Annual changeover dinner on Wednesday July 3, at the Narromine Aero Club.

About 45 members and guests were served a delicious two course meal catered for by the Aero Club. A big thank you to Paul and Pam McCullum for making our night such a success.
President Viv Halbisch opened the proceedings by welcoming members and guests and thanked our members on achieving another successful year.
Ms Halbisch announced the donation for 2018/19 which included: Narromine Cancer Support Group ($4000), 201N4 Drought Relief (Narromine District) ($4000), Timbrebongie House ($1000), Royal Flying Doctors Dubbo ($1000), Dr. Keith McLaughlin Bursaries at fourt Narromine schools ($250 each), Narromine High School excursion to Vietnam ($500), Lions Cord Blood ($500).
Judy Barlow from the Narromine Cancer support Group, Robyn Douglas from Timbrebongie House, and Terry Clarke from Royal Flying Doctors were on hand to receive their donation. All recipients received their donation graciously and gave talks on what this money will do for their organisation.

Other donations Lions made thorough the year include: Camp Licola ($2850), Uniting Church Food Barn ($500), CWA ($300), Narromine's four schools ($100 each), Rugby Union club shield ($92).
On behalf of our club we would like to sincerely thank Narromine Bowling Club for $3000 donation to local drought relief and the USMC and Men's shed for $800 each towards Camp Licola.
We welcome new member Bert Lister. Bert was inducted into our club by PDG Annemarie Jones. Bert was a member many years ago but resigned owing to work commitments, now he has retired he has chosen to re-join so we welcome him and his wife Pamela back into the fold.
The incoming executive for 2019-2020 were elected. Once again Vivienne Halbisch was announced president, Rita Whitbread secretary and Jane Edwards treasurer.
Congratulations to our new office bearers who were inducted by PDG Annemarie Jones, and we thank her sincerely for making the trip to Narromine for this occasion.
The Narromine Lions Club thank the community for their ongoing support which allows us to redistribute our fundraising back to worthwhile local and Lion Projects. Lions will continue for the rest of the year with our union, league and race Gates. Our Christmas raffle will be starting on October 3 so keep a look out for that.
The Venetian Carnival this year is on December 5, mark this date on your calendar and come on down and win yourself a ham or a chook.
