Mr Saunders met this week with members of the region's multicultural community, where he outlined that the NSW Government's Celebrating Diversity Events grants program is now open.
"Multicultural festivals and events play an important role in celebrating our community's cultural diversity, and promoting a message of inclusion and welcome," he said.
"There are so many fantastic and hardworking grassroots organisations in our community, which could be eligible for up to $10,000 funding."
Minister for Multiculturalism John Sidoti said all eligible community organisations should consider applying for the program.
"NSW is home to hundreds of world class multicultural festivals that celebrate our multicultural society," Mr Sidoti said.
"These festivals are often only possible because of community members who volunteer countless hours of their time between other responsibilities.
"This program is here to provide a helping hand. The NSW Government is proud to have supported multicultural festivals and events across every corner of our State."
Celebrating Diversity Event Grants are now open and will close 5pm Friday, 20 September 2019.
