The Narromine Agricultural Show has a long and rich history, dating back to the first show held in 1906 and 2019 welcoming the 114th annual show.
A great day out for all ages, this fun-filled and family-friendly event caters to a wide variety of interests.
This year will feature events such as the Macquarie Valley Yard Dog Championships, cattle and sheep judging, prime lamb competition, showjumping and ring events.
The impressive pavilion will showcase sections such as arts and crafts, fruit and vegetables, photography, wool, flowers, handicrafts, cookery and much more.
An activity sure to attract interest is a competition where entrants are invited to build a scarecrow dress it up in their work uniform, fancy dress or other clothing for a chance to win prizes donated by Coles. Judging for a range of junior quests will take place on Saturday.
Popular events such as the Smash Up Derby and the fireworks are also not to be missed.

Opportunity for free entry to the show
Attending the 2019 Narromine Show has been made a little easier for local families this year.
Narromine Shire Council has again resolved to offer free entry to the Narromine Show for up to 1500 children.
The offering is valued at $7500 and is set to encourage more people to attend their local show.
Narromine Show Society President Bill Gibbs said the extra sponsorship from Council last year encouraged more parents to attend the show.
"The Show Society cannot thank the Council enough for helping to promote the 2019 Narromine Show," he said.
Narromine Shire Council general manager Jane Redden said: "We are happy to be able to support such a great local event, especially during these harder times.
"Hopefully, the free entry for children will encourage more members of the community to attend the show. The additional support is a thank you to the community for supporting Council and its facilities."
The Narromine Show is a local event that has run for many decades, highlighting local producers and businesses and helping bring the community together.
Ideal time to check on your health
The Men's Health Education Rural Van (MHERV) is a Rotary project made possible by fundraising, generous sponsorship and time freely given by hundreds of Rotary volunteers.
A custom-built caravan with a dedicated registered nurse, it travels around NSW offering free health screenings to regional and rural men, who are notorious for being completely in the dark about the state of their health.
- MERV will visit Narromine Showground from 8am to 5pm on Friday, August 30 and Saturday, August 31.

Lamb to offer a helping hand
Prime lamb competition exhibitors will have the chance to donate one or more lambs to help benefit the Narromine Cancer Support Group charity.
Lambs will be auctioned on Monday, September 2 at Dubbo Regional Livestock Markets, with proceeds going to Narromine Cancer Support Group.
Narromine Show Society will charge a commission of 15 per cent and will be transporting the charity lambs to Dubbo at the completion of the Narromine Show.
