Any donations for the stall would be greatly appreciated - some wonderful cooking has been contributed to our Stalls in the past and, consequently, we sell out far too quickly. A big thank you to those wonderful cooks and to Enza Zaden for the veggies.
Our raffle to be held at the stall, comprises two great pamper prizes. A one-hour remedial massage/lymphatic drainage session with Jacqui Newenhuis, as first prize will have you begging for more, and a cuddle hoodie, as second prize, will keep you warm and cosy on these lingering, cold nights.
The AGM last month saw a few changes to the executive, with Shirley Allen stepping in as treasurer and Julie Davis as secretary.
Many thanks to Pam Rees and Anne Shearman who fulfilled those roles with great commitment and diligence for the last 12 months.
Our President, Daphne Johnson, has put her hand up for another year; the role of president, on any committee, is a demanding one and Daphne continues to give her all to the role in seeking to achieve the very best for our local hospital.
Those overseas trips and some "Grey Nomadding" seem to be very rejuvenating!
The membership of the Auxiliary remains small, and certainly it's members are getting older. To achieve a stronger connection between Hospital and community it would be wonderful to have the addition of some new young, energetic members.
Meetings are on the third Monday of every month at 2.30pm in the Community Health Meeting Room - anyone is welcome to attend.
The Meals on Wheels volunteer roster in Narromine is always looking to having more names added, also; an effort is only required every few months on one day a week for a few hours over lunchtime.
The next Meals on Wheels deliveries week for our Auxiliary volunteers begins on Monday, September 9.
