The couple purchased the Narromine Newsagency on March 28, 2005 and said their time owning the shop had been "wonderful".
"Personally I think it's been the best move we ever did, I've loved every minute of being here," Lorraine said.
"I've felt very welcome and made some great friends."
The pair both agreed it was the community who made their time most enjoyable, and reflected on their best experiences.
"When we first started delivering the papers, Greg threw a paper one day and it landed in a lady's bird bath,' Lorraine said.
"That was hilarious, she bought it down and said 'my paper's a bit wet'."
It's been a pleasure being part of the community and getting to know everyone.

That wasn't the only time they laughed about their memories, with another customer going into the shop because she couldn't find her paper delivery.
"I said 'well I did throw it, I know I thew it', so I told her I'd come down and have a look for her," Greg said.
"I went around and I couldn't find it on the ground so I got up, and it was on top of the shed."
While there were no major lotto prize winners at the Narromine store, but according to Greg there was a $200,000 jackpot on a $5 scratchie and $20,000 on a $1 scratchie.
Both Greg and Lorraine said the decision to sell wasn't easy, but age and family were the deciding factors.
The couples last day will be May 31, and unfortunately unless purchased, they said the newsagency would close its doors for good, and urged anyone interested to talk to them.
"It would be good for a family ... or someone with fresh ideas," Greg said.
However you will still see the couple around Narromine, who have no plans to leave the shire.
"We're staying put, we'll catch up with family and probably go on a holiday," Lorraine said.
Both Greg and Lorraine thanked the community and the staff for all their support over the years.
"The staff have been wonderful, they've been a huge help and they're just like family," Lorraine said.
"It's been a pleasure being part of the community and getting to know everyone."
