The Narromine Jets landed at Alan Burns oval on Saturday defeating the Magpies 32-26, reclaiming the shield for the second year in a row.
"The game went well," Jets committee member Sally Everett said.
"It was a tough game, but played with plenty of heart as the Norm Newman Shield is so special to both clubs."

It was a touching presentation as Mr Newman's wife Pauline was on hand to present the shield to the Jets.
The Trangie Magpies league tag team also took on the Gilgandra Panthers.
However the visitors proved victorious and in a nail biting end however the hosts were downed 20-24.
"Trangie put on a great day and we thank them for hosting the day," Ms Everett said.
