The Narromine High School graduate is the recipient from the Macquarie Valley to be awarded the Auscott Education Programme Scholarship.
Worth $11,500 per year for the duration of recipients' studies, the scholarship will be a massive help for Joshua to assist with costs of post-graduate study including tuition, books, living expenses and other compulsory fees.

Criteria used by the Selection Committee for awarding the scholarship include realistic ambition, need, the ability to succeed in a chosen course, motivation, academic performance, personal presentation, community involvement and maturity.
Auscott Scholarships were first awarded in 1969 for students from the Narrabri and Dubbo area High Schools.
Final year high school students, residing within the geographical limits as laid down in the conditions of award, are each year invited to apply for an award under the program.
