Clontarf students at Narromine High School have helped keep Narromine clean after pitching in to make Clean Up Australia Day a success.

According to Operations Officer Mitchell Smith, the number of Clontarf students putting up their hand to participate was substantial.

"It was pretty amazing because there was no pressure on them to participate, we just put a sign up and out of the 73 kids we've got here, a whole bunch of them decided to volunteer their time and energy helping clean up," Mr Smith said.
"They were pretty proud of the work they did."
Mr Smith said the kid's dedication showed through in their work, with the students disposing of several industrial rubbish bags full of items, including a set of shoes.
"It's all for a really good cause and obviously the kids got a kick out of it, which was great for them, they put in about two hours and got together about 5 or 6 big bags of rubbish," Mr Smith said.
"We're all really proud of them for putting the effort in and volunteering."
