A stunning new hotel has opened in the heart of France's legendary Burgundy wine region.
The sleepy village of Puligny-Montrachet - in the heart of France's legendary Burgundy wine region - is the setting of COMO's stunning new retreat.

Renowned Italian architect Paola Navone has transformed three heritage buildings circling the village's scenic central square into Como Le Montrachet, home to just 30 rooms and suites.

Make yourself comfortable in the entry-level Clos room, with eye-catching bed heads, plush couches and views of the square, or nab the slightly larger Manoir room, with a separate sitting area.

Then make your way to the onsite Le Montrachet restaurant, where you can feast on French delicacies - from cereal-crusted pigeon to beautifully seared Charolais beef.

Just don't forget to explore a few places of interest nearby - the renowned Chateau de Santenay winery is just 10 minutes south of the hotel, while "the impossibly handsome city of Beaune", according to The New York Times, is less than 20 minutes drive north. comohotels.com

My all-time favourite destination is ... New York. You can drop a pin anywhere in Manhattan and start walking in any direction, and the sights and sounds of the city that never stops will begin to stimulate all your senses in an instant.
Next on my bucket list is … Scandinavia - at the peak of summer, when the sun almost never sets.
My top travel tip is … If you’re flying to Sydney from anywhere in the world, pick a window seat far from the wing on the left-hand-side of the aeroplane. If the weather gods and flight path align, you’ll have the most incredible views of the Sydney Harbour and Opera House.
