A Perth man was dancing with a woman he'd met at a Bali nightclub when he was violently attacked by a group of fellow holiday-makers.

Matthew Stevenson sustained a broken cheekbone and cuts to the head after he was allegedly placed in a headlock and hit multiple times outside the club.
The 27-year-old was at the Engine Room in Kuta from 11.30pm on November 24 when he was set upon by "five or six" attackers believed to be from New Zealand.
One of the attackers allegedly shoved Mr Stevenson while he was inside the club but the interaction was de-escalated after his friends intervened.
He thought the dispute had been resolved and said he was surprised to be attacked outside the club.
Mr Stevenson said his passport, phone, 5000 rupiah and his hat were stolen during the attack.
Indonesian police arrested one man after the incident but no other arrests have been made.
The Perth man is organising his journey home in time to attend his brother's wedding but is struggling to secure an emergency passport.
He said he's determined to make it back to Australia for the big day despite risks associated with flying after a head trauma.
