The eggings, initially believed to be anti-Semitic attacks on pedestrians, were now considered "random" by investigators, NSW Police said after interviewing the suspects.
Unknown vandals had sprayed cars and garage doors in Sydney's eastern suburbs with anti-Semitic obscenities on the night of the egging, leading police to initially assume the alleged attacks were connected.
It comes after a synagogue was firebombed, cars were torched, and swastikas and anti-Semitic language were graffitied in Jewish communities since December.
Alleged joyride and egging spree
Three people, a 22-year-old woman and two others, were hit by flying eggs on the night of February 1 in Bondi Beach, Sydney.
Emergency services responded to reports that an empty silver sedan, with the engine still running, was mounted on a kerb in Rose Bay. Officers allegedly found a jerry can and egg carton inside.
Police dogs were deployed to find the car's occupants but were unsuccessful.

Two boys, a 16-year-old alleged driver and a 14-year-old alleged passenger, were arrested on February 3 after police interviewed the car's owner.
The 16-year-old boy was charged with taking or driving a conveyance without the consent of the owner, negligent driving, two counts of learner driving unaccompanied and not displaying L plates.
Their cases remain before children's courts.
