The initiative, led by Bayer is supported by Landmark, is donating up to $100,000 to local community causes that help change rural lives for the better.
Branch Manager of Landmark Narromine, Dwayne Kent said they have decided to support local charity Beat the Breakdown by donating $25 for every 20 litre pack of precept sold.
“In 2012 we lost a long-time friend, player, coach and sponsor of the Narromine Gorillas rugby club to suicide,” Mr Kent said.

“The club and family have since made it a goal to remove the stigma associated with mental health. We do this by having an annual ‘Beat the Breakdown’ match and auction to raise funds, bring the community together and encourage farmers to take the day off the tractor.”
“We’re delighted that the Grow4Good program is supporting us,” he said.
The program was initiated by Bayer approached Landmark agents to submit proposals of who they would like to help in their local community. Landmark Narromine was successful with their submission and has aimed to raise up to $3000 between July 15 and September 30 for Beat the Breakdown.
National Key Account Manager at Bayer, Ben Thompson said that the program hopes to assist already existing fundraising efforts in a number of dedicated communities.
“The quality of the Grow4Good proposals received have been excellent, so choosing our final 24 was extremely difficult,” Mr Thompson said.
“Whether it’s to purchase a life-saving defibrillator, help with cancer treatment or for a new school playground, Bayer is extremley proud to be supporting farming communities that give us all so much,” he said.
