The boys had impressed the judges at heats held during the week.
Zayden took home a Star Wars Lego pack, his share of an $800 prize pool.
Halette Rodrigues, mother of the Lego fans, said the challenge had been great for her sons.
“They loved it, they thought it was fabulous,” she said.
“It really got them thinking in the week [leading up to the finals],” she said.
Family and other spectators gathered around the activity, brought to Orana Mall by Northcoast Productions.
Participants had 20 minutes to make their designs from $4000 of Lego pieces.
Northcoast Productions manager Simon Griffiths said it was all about hands on blocks and seeing the children smile.
“The enthusiasm from the kids and the support from the parents was fantastic, many driving huge distances to be involved,” he said.
Mr Griffiths offered his congratulations to all the young builders.
During the challenge they had seen a range of creations including houses, boats, beach scenes, zoo exhibits, cars, trucks and farms.
