Minister for Local Government Shelley Hancock was in Narromine on Sunday with Member for Dubbo Dugald Saunders to inspect the proposed site of the new HubnSpoke facility.
The Burraway Street building will be transformed into a shared working space, featuring new state-of-the-art technology, hot desk work stations, access to WiFi, a meeting room, kitchen facilities as well as space for creative workshops and professional networking events.
Ms Hancock was in Narromine to announce the NSW government would contribute $50,000 to the project, which is estimated to cost about $230,000.
"This is really an innovative project," she said.
"I obviously wanted to advocate for this project because its making use of space, which has never been envisaged before and just hearing about it it's a great concept."
Narromine Shire mayor Craig Davies thanked the NSW government for their contribution, and said the facility would help boost business confidence in the shire.
"It certainly gives us the certainty that we need to make sure that this initiative goes ahead," he said.
"It is a great initiative in that we will have 12 working spaces in here for young entrepreneurs and start-ups who now have a space where they can come and do all their work.
"It's going to be a very modern space and it's just going to be a wonderful addition to the initiatives we have going on in our shire."
