Here's a Christmas meme of a not so jolly Santa...
8.54: Making entertainment news this morning:
SONY HACK: Angelina Jolie has been called a "minimally talented spoiled brat" with a "rampaging" ego in a series of fiery emails released by anonymous hackers. Read more here
REALITY TV: I bet there were people who scoffed when they heard the premise ofDating Naked (Eleven, 8.30pm). There were probably many who refused to believe that appearing on a TV show where you’re required to go on dates with people you’ve never met while wearing no clothes was the most efficient path to true love and lasting happiness. READ MORE HERE
CELEBRITY: INXS bassist Garry Beers has rejected the "hurtful allegations" his daughter published, claiming the 22-year-old media studies graduate chose to air the INXS bass player's dirty laundry in order to find a job. Read more here
ROYAL TOUR: The Duchess of Cambridge, even with her hazel eyes and brown hair, has been confused for the princess from Frozen by a group of children in New York's Harlem district. Read more here
8.49: We've got the answer from yesterday's Brennan's Mitre 10's 12 Days of Christmas? We were at the Wellington Caves
8.41: Elephants from Dubbo and Sydney will soon be packing their trunks to move into new digs at Taronga Western Plains Zoo. Contractors are putting the finishing touches on the new elephant facility, due to be finished by the end of the year.

8.27: Taking a look at sporting news this morning:
RUGBY UNION: If Peter Nau was trying to choose the perfect time to leave rugby union in the central west and country NSW, he's succeeded. Nau has joined Shute Shield side Randwick and will make the move to Sydney in the coming months after a year in which he only lost one match in all competitions.
GYMNASTICS: Junior gymnasts from the Dubbo PCYC have returned home motivated to improve even more after achieving some hugely impressive results at recent Gymnastic NSW State Championships. The Level 1 Men's team, made up of Connor Dunn, Henry Den and Connor Miller, produced some outstanding performances on their way to finishing second in the state. A great achievement for coaches Trish Harland and Calvin Perry.
RUGBY UNION: Dubbo Kangaroos president Graeme Board admits Peter Nau's loss will be a hard one to deal with for the club but said he wishes the former skipper nothing but good luck with his new club Randwick. Nau has been an integral part of the Roos success in recent years and his performances as a regular at representative level meant he couldn't say no to this opportunity, according to Board.
DOGS: Talented bitch Known As Typo will be looking to keep up an impressive career achievement today when she lines up in the $1010 Unibet 1-4 Wins Stakes at Dawson Park. Known As Typo has had eight career starts and is yet to finish outside the top three, with three firsts, four seconds and a third.

7.59: Let's take a look at today's front page:
The federal government's revised GP co-payment policy is the equivalent of a "band aid that has been slapped on and will fall off in five minutes", according to the NSW president of the Rural Doctors Association.
David Richmond said he believed the plan to charge a $5 fee to everybody who visits a GP, apart from children under 16 and the elderly, is "poorly thought out" and will offer no long term benefit.
"If the government thinks this is the solution for the budget deficit then they are sorely mistaken. I really hope this is just something they have presented in the lead-up to Christmas and a real solution will come next year," Mr Richmond said.
"I really find it hard to believe this proposal would get through the senate and the plan to introduce it by regulation, like they did with fuel, is wrong."
"We remain disappointed that rebates for GP services for everyone else will be cut by $5. This comes on top of a freeze on Medicare patient rebates until July 2018. This means that, by 2018, Medicare rebates for many services will have been frozen for almost six years, while inflation continues to rise."
- AMA president, Associate Professor Brian Owler

HOSPITAL WAITING TIMES: WESTERN NSW was among three local health districts that took too long to treat patients who presented at hospitals with imminently life-threatening conditions such as serious chest pains, breathing difficulty or severe burns. It was among the findings of the NSW Auditor General's report to Parliament focusing on health agencies released this week.
ALCOHOL FREE ZONES: Alcohol free zones around Dubbo's showground and a major sports complex are one step from coming into force after they were endorsed by a Dubbo City Council committee.
