Volunteers who give up their time to make the community a better place are being thanked with a morning tea hosted by the Narromine Shire Council.

There are more than 50 volunteer organisations within the Shire from community groups to sporting groups and health services.
Narromine Shire Council’s General Manager, Jane Redden said the council are thankful for all the support the community receives from volunteer organisations in the Shire and would like to publicly thank them for their time.

“Volunteers play a vital role in the Narromine Shire providing essential services and it is important they feel valued, acknowledged and supported,” Ms Redden said.
“I encourage our community to come along and celebrate the contributions of our volunteers,” she said.
The two events being hosted by the Council include:
- Volunteers Thankyou Morning Tea – Narromine Shire Council, Council Chambers on Tuesday December 4 from 10am – 11am
- Volunteers Thankyou Afternoon Tea – The Studio, 14 Dandaloo Street, Trangie on Tuesday December 4 from 2pm – 3pm.
RSVP’s to the volunteer thank you events are essential and can be made by calling Council on 6889 9999.
Light refreshments will be provided.
