Two of Narromine's firefighters will take on a test of endurance to raise funds to tackle a devastating disease on Saturday.

Retained firefighters Lynden Davis and Tony Coen will join hundreds of firies to climb the 1504 steps of the Sydney Tower Eye for the 2019 Firefighters Climb, raising money and awareness for MND research.
As they climb the 98 storeys, they'll be dressed in full structural gear that has a combined weight of 20 kilos
"Lynden has been running up and down "B" Block at Narromine High School, whilst Tony has been running up and down the Water Tower in Nyngan," Narromine station commander, captain Ewen Jones said.
The team at Narromine station 401 have been fundraising hard to support the men. The crew have hosted a Bunnings barbecue, auction and trivia night, and barbeque at the Mungery races.
Along with donations from the Narromine Rotary Club, Narromine Lions Club, Men's Shed, Dugald Saunders and the community they have raised a total of $8245 for motor neurone disease research.
The station commander thanked the community for their support, especially in dry times.
